Days 236-240

Friday, August 21st - Here we are trying to get Grant to go to the bathroom before bedtime. We are planning on "hitting it hard" tomorrow on the potty training or at least that's what Andy says. "This kid will be trained by age three. The other two were and this kid can too." This has become a rather sore subject at the Broeker household. I say he's not ready, Andy says otherwise.
Saturday, August 22nd - Madison and I attended a baby shower for baby Luci given by the gals in Missy's neighborhood. If you haven't already, you really need to read Missy's blog. It's such an amazing and beautiful journey about their adoption process of little Luci.
Sunday, August 23rd - This is the last home game this season for the Saltdogs. Homer happened to stop by and say "hi" for a photo. Aren't they cute together?
Monday, August 24th - We "think" that Grant is well on his way with his crash course of Potty Training 101 to take his pull-ups to Christi's daycare. Now I am not a fan of pull-ups, but I figured it would be easier on Christi. Well, it wasn't and as of now he's back to diapers at daycare and will on occasion go to the bathroom for Andy and Tyler...just the boys. Not mom or Christi!
Tuesday, August 25th - I think it is so darn cute seeing Grant wear Tyler's football gear since it's so big on him. In a couple years we probably will be going to Grant's football games and Tyler will be in college. Ugh! I can't think about that right now.

Question, why wasn't the pull ups working out? I know when my sons were in that stage I had a baby sitter who didn't realize that you tear the sides to get them off when they mess in them.
I agree with missy, the potty picture is too cute!!!
My oldest was the hardest to toliet train but then it got easier because he taught the next, then they taught the third, and they taught the fourth. I think it's a boy thing....

Mamma--

The pull-ups aren't all to blame. He just refuses to sit on the toilet and will just wet himself. He'll willingly wear the underwear, but I'll tell him he has to try and when I suggest he has to go he will say "no" and have wet pants within a minute of asking him. I figure his Kindergarten teacher will get him trained if he's not by age 5! LOL

Love the new look!!! Too bad your not here, I think Grant could go to our preschool where potty training is part of the curriculum. Though I was walking through the kindergarten hallway last week and heard a student crying about not having to go to the bathroom, only to hear the assistant say, "The last time I took you off, you peed your pants. You need to sit there and try." To which I heard a loud shriek. Made me glad I have the older kids...

Mamma--

That's interesting that they add potty training to the curriculum. Many, if not most, preschools require the child to be potty trained prior to entering preschool. I know he'll figure it out. I think he's a very stubborn child! I don't know where he gets it from either? His father?! LOL
