This was a great weekend for me! It was a quiet, kid-free one since Andy took the kids to his parents' house in Kearney. Andy spent the weekend there helping to install a sprinkler system at my in-law's new home and he is dropping the older two off for a week of fun with their cousins at Grandma and Grandpa's. Grant and Andy will be back later tonight, but here's what I did while everyone was away....Scrapbook! Yay! I was able to accomplish getting fourteen pages done and my South Dakota scrapbook is almost complete. I'll be posting that later this week. Here's who was along with me at the 15 hour crop at Southeast Community College:
My friend, Amy, who I got hooked on scrapbooking about nine years ago. We crop together often and we've known each other since our college days. Here's my neighbor and friend, Kandy, working on a wedding layout. I had Kandy's daughter in my classroom last year. I'll miss having her daughter too! This was my first crop with Kandy, which she probably wondered about me being her child's teacher?!
This is my old friend, Angie, who I've known forever. She actually went out with me on my 21st birthday and that was eighteen years ago! Yikes! I've been scrappin' with Angie for a while now.
Here is Kristi, Angie's sister in law, and she's a hoot. I just laugh and laugh at what she says. She works in the medical field, so she's always surprising me with medical stuff. We discuss everything...you name it! Never a dull moment at our table!
And here I am pretending to be cutting an image out on my Cricut. I had to pose for the camera, of course! I love that machine!!
Here's Kristi and Angie being silly. We found out that Angie has a fetish for Q-Tips (visual demonstration). I was laughing and crying at the same time. We got quite the looks! Imagine getting kicked out of a crop?!
Oh, a body art lady showed up at the crop and I got a sparkly flower tattoo. Cool! I was glittery all day long! The purse lady was a no-show, which was probably a good thing! And sometimes a massage therapist comes and delivers massages for $10 too.
Doesn't it look lovely?! I am considering getting a real one of those things! Maybe not on my ankle, though.
Angie also got a tattoo too. The rest of the crew weren't as adventurous as Angie and me. It was a fast and terrific 15 hours!
