My Unbirthday

Today I am 39.5 years old!

I am now closer to the age of 40 than I am to 39. (sigh) I'm feeling it too. I am even too tired to create a blog post.

However, I did do something to commemorate this historical day. I purchased this.....
It's my favorite cake, German Chocolate. Okay, who am I kidding...any cake is my favorite. It's only about six inches across and made four small pieces, which should make it almost calorie-free. The best part...it was on sale for $3.40 because the expiration date is today. I figured it was meant to be mine, a perfectly, chocolatey unbirthday cake!

I also purchased this book called "40 Things to Do When You Turn Forty" yesterday. I've only read the first page (which did look interesting), when I got distracted by the kids' fighting. I figured I needed the book if I'm ever going to complete this. Funny how I came up with the idea and there's a book with a similar title. If I don't get my 40 things done in time, now I feel like I can reach that goal in my 40's. No more pressure!

Happy Unbirthday to me! It's not everyday when one turns 39.5!

Happy unbirthday :) Remember how we felt when we turned 30? I was so very upset about it. I'd kill to go back in time and get to turn 30 again.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I'm following you now :)

Happy birthday. I'm here on the blog comment challenge. So, I might as well warn you, 40 ain't nuthin' compared to 50. Fifty sucks. You'll see. :-)

Would you please stop posting pictures of cake? Some of us are trying to stick to our diets and it's NOT NICE!

Happy unbirthday.

Oh, to be 40 again! ;D You know, 40 is the new 25. (I just made that up)
It's cool that you're a kindergarten teacher. I work in transitional kindergarten. There are lots of stories that can be told!

Turning 40 wasn't so bad. I am now 41 so I an actually into my forties. I am a bit creaky at times but I just keep plugging along. Wish I could share that cake with you!

I noticed the cover of the book said, "40 experts on turning 40". I wonder how do you become an expert on turning 40?? Maybe being 40 makes you an expert? LOL
I'm not going to lie, turning 40 was really hard for me.....in fact it continues to be hard. :)I don't think I have come to grips with it yet. I hope that means turning 50 will be a breeze for me.
