25 Days of Christmas

After being inspired by Ali Edwards, I decided to try my hand at the 25 days of Christmas. I have an upcoming scrapbooking retreat next weekend and thought it would be a fun challenge. I am using vintage paper and giving a hint of antiquing to all of my photos. I've chosen 5 photos for each day with a Christmas type theme. I'm going to try to post daily, but with how hectic life is (you can see by the photos), I'm not making any promises!

Day 1 - December 1st

We had "Souper Santa" tonight at church.
Andy wants to know how long I'm going to make Tyler have his picture taken with Santa. I'm thinking twenty-two? That's not too unrealistic, is it?

The start of our Advent Calendars
I purchased an evergreen spray from my neighbor boy who's selling them for the Boy Scouts.

Day 2 - December 2nd

Since we didn't have company over Thanksgiving, I made door decorations with my Cricut.
I love snow globes!
My aunt and uncle asked me to come over and take their Christmas card pictures. Calvin and Jalaine live just down the street from me, so it was no problem.
Jalaine and Calvin's dog, Rocky
Jalaine's beautiful nativity, which is similar to mine, but has more pieces.
I tried to take some outside photos, but I wasn't too successful.

Day 3 - December 3rd
Writer's Workshop is all about the holidays. I just can't escape it...excitement and all!
Aunt Patty's Attic had their holiday open house. They had all of their shopping by candle light, which created a warm, holiday feel. This little elf on a shelf asked me to adopt him, so I did. I think I'll name him Elvis.
Trader Joe's just opened in Lincoln and we were excited to check it out.
They had a 13 inch gingerbread boy kit for $3.99. It came already in one ready to decorate piece of gingerbread with frosting, sprinkles and M & M's. Very cute!
My apologies for this graphic aftermath of the poor gingerbread boy!
Gingerbread carnage!

What a fun assignment and great way to keep a Christmas spirit.

I can't wait to try Trader Joe's but I think I'll wait till the crowds die back a bit.
