Madison's 10th birthday is just right around the corner (September 15th to be exact). I asked her what she wants to do for her birthday and her reply....Mom, I've never been to the American Girl store, so can we go?
Well...the closest American Girl store is probably the one at the Mall of American, which is seven hours away. Until now......
Get ready to explore the newest American Girl store, coming soon to Oak Park Mall!
This store would only be four hours away versus seven. This might be her wish come true. Just think of the scrapbooking opportunites?!

Madison, it is calling your name to come visit. Hope you have a great birthday there!
Awe! She is getting so grown up...you better take advantage of the opportunity now! Who knows, by the time she is 11, she might just think she is too grown up for the American Girls Store...I will be seeing you before then to hear if you decide to go!
It's worth it...Lucy got to go when we were in Chicago at age 9, and we kicked the boys (and dad) to the curb so we could enjoy ourselves without feeling rushed. Only regret was that we hadn't thought to call ahead to reserve a table for tea.
