Updated Holiday Pics

Day 7 - December 7th (of course) - Holiday Decor
I could not find much to take pictures of, so I took photos around the house.
The kids made a tree with presents out of clay, which is now displayed proudly at our house.
This is my favorite nativity set that I purchased in 1988 on a trip to Mexico. I was a senior in high school and went with my Spanish class. I love the look of this nativity! I know I've posted this before...this year minus the rubber lizard.
Another family favorite...1950 Choir Boys. These little guys once sold for 29 cents each with the bottom still marked. They were purchased from my great-grandmother's pharmacy in Iowa. I still have a photo of my Dad at Christmas with these boys sitting in the background.
Our Christmas tree this year. We decided to only put one up and we went with the vintage looking one since it goes with my "theme".

Day 8 - December 8th - Letters to Santa
I asked the kids to write a letter to Santa for this photo.
Another night of no time to be creative!
Grant drew pictures and asked Madison to write "I am good".
Tyler is asking for basketball shoes. If you click on his picture to enlarge, you see he has errors in the Dear Santa. Thank goodness for computers and spell check!

December 9th - School Chorus Performance
Madison decided to give chorus a try this year. Tyler did not go out for chorus in grade school, so this was a new experience for us.
Madison had a part in ringing a cow bell.
No solos for her, but she did get to be a ding-a-ling! ;)

ps. Did you notice I didn't get 5 pictures a day? This is extremely hard to do!!

I had the choir boys too growing up. They became mine, got too hot and now they are just a big ball of wax. I miss them....
But of all the pictures, I love the clay tree. Whomever made it did a great job!

I would just be satisfied to get the decorations up and the cookies baked. Five pictures a day on top of that? Forget about it.

It looks like you guys are well on your way to a merry Christmas...

Does his letter really said, "Dear fat Santa"? So fun to see what kids write to Santa.

I got some carolers from my mother that look very similar to your choir boys. Brings back old memories.

I hope you're having a good week before Christmas!

Connie, you are funny. It's suppose to say "fail" since he put the comma in the wrong place.
